The video of all the players in action is incredible enough, but all the “what if” scenarios and how the results affect the world economy & society was a really creative addition to the story.

Schweppes Super Slow Motion = Speedy Viral Spread

The title I gave this post makes it sound like it might be about some sort of product recall on tainted jelly, but I am referring to the amazing video by Schweppes that is getting viewed by about 1,000 people right now as you read this.  To be honest, I am not really sure what this has to do with Schweppes or any of their products …but it is so fascinating to watch that I don’t really care.

I watch it over and over, and share it with my friends who do the same.  I bet if you asked all of them who made the video the brand recall would be over 80%.  Whether those people know all the brands that Schweppes has in its portfolio is another question, but if brand awareness of the Schweppes holding co. name was the goal of this ad then it definitely hit the mark.

A Creative Use of Post-Its to Fight Deadline Blues

It’s Friday and I am sure there are a few people out there that are still staring at a looming deadline…for a report …for a test …for an article submission.  If you are like me then you probably waited WAY too long …you started out with fire and vigor …quickly became stumped with a major case of writer’s block …and at this point you are in F@$K It! mode and are surfing the web for that Eureka item that will write your solution by itself.

Take a little mental break from your Google searching (…after the 100th keyword varation of your keywords, you are just desperately wasting your time loser) and refresh with this cool stop motion video using post-its in a creative short film about deadlines.

Last Day Dream by Chris Milk

Brilliant short film by Chris Milk for his submission to the 42 Second Dream Festival (Beijing, China 2009). I do not know much about Chris or his past work, but I definitely will be checking it out after seeing this.  Really smart and creative work.

If you watched this and did not have to re-watch it a couple times in a nostagiac playback of of what your own last daydream would be…then I am sad for you and your lonely life (or you might be a robot).

Oh, and also if you think that the still shot selected for this video is a little pervvy…the film has nothing to do with that so get your mind out of the gutter you sicko.

Me & Ninja Steve Chat About Google Wave

I am officially addicted to XtraNormal.  I have created a second animated short film, and at this point it is a bonafied series since there is a standing lead character + the theme seems to be a slightly nerdy advertising geek (ahem…me) that likes to talk to various outlandish individuals like clowns, ninjas, …pimps (I just leaked the next episode, ha) about innovative things happening in advertising and communications today.

Watch out Hollywood.  With the launch of episode #2 I am convinced that I am a hilarious screenwriter by the way.  Please watch and judge for yourself, ha.
